CONFESSION #0237 — DEAL THAT EXPLODED
Monday, November 3, 2025
I was two hours from closing. Two hours. The title company had everything ready, the buyers were packing their car to drive over, and my seller was literally at the airport about to board a flight to his new city. Then the buyer's lender calls me. Turns out the buyer decided that morning—that very morning—to finance a brand new truck. A seventy-thousand-dollar truck. His debt-to-income ratio was now completely destroyed and the loan was dead on arrival. I had to call my seller at the gate and tell him the deal was gone. He missed his flight. The buyers acted shocked, like nobody had ever told them not to make major purchases before closing. I had told them. Three times. In writing. I found the emails. They just thought it "probably wouldn't matter" because they "make good money." I didn't eat for two days. I still see that truck model driving around town sometimes and my eye twitches. Six months of work, gone because someone couldn't wait fourteen more days to buy a vehicle they didn't even need.

Judge Reginald Escrow III
⚖️ Presiding
GUILTY OF VEHICULAR FINANCIAL HOMICIDE IN THE FIRST DEGREE
This Court has witnessed many atrocities in its distinguished tenure, but rarely has it beheld such BREATHTAKING AUDACITY as a buyer purchasing a seventy-thousand-dollar truck on the morning of closing. The Honorable Judge Escrow III must pause to collect himself. You told them three times. IN WRITING. They received electronic correspondence containing explicit warnings and thought, "Ah yes, but we make good money," as if income were some kind of magical debt-erasing spell taught at Hogwarts School of Financial Delusion. The Court finds the buyers guilty of first-degree transaction assassination, and this Court hereby sentences them to drive that truck directly into a lake while your seller watches from the shore eating airport Cinnabon he never got to enjoy. Your eye twitch is not a medical condition—it is a RIGHTEOUS NEUROLOGICAL PROTEST and this Court validates it completely. Judge Escrow must adjourn immediately as he has begun to feel his own eye twitching in solidarity.
