CONFESSION #0283 — CLIENT FROM HELL
Friday, December 19, 2025
I had a buyer tell me their budget was $450k, max. Absolutely firm. "Don't even show us anything over," they said. So I spent three weeks curating perfect listings, scheduling showings around their impossible work schedules, and driving them all over the county. They hated everything. Too small, too old, too close to the road, too far from the road, weird vibes, bad kitchen flow. Then last Saturday, the husband casually mentions they put an offer on a $680k new construction home. With another agent. They'd been working with her the whole time. When I asked why they wasted my time with the fake budget, the wife said, and I quote, "We just wanted to make sure we weren't missing any hidden gems in the lower price range." I am a licensed professional with a decade of experience, and these people used me like a free Zillow tour guide while their "real" agent collected the commission on a house they could apparently afford all along. I need a drink and a new career.

GUILTY OF PREMEDITATED AGENT ABUSE WITH AGGRAVATED BUDGET FRAUD
This Court has witnessed many atrocities in its distinguished tenure, but the brazen deployment of a FICTIONAL BUDGET to conscript a licensed professional into unpaid reconnaissance work represents a new low in civilian depravity. The defendants treated this agent like some sort of complimentary human GPS with a pleasant demeanor and reliable transportation, all while their "real" agent presumably lounged in a La-Z-Boy waiting for the $680,000 commission to materialize. "Hidden gems in the lower price range" - Judge Escrow must pause to collect himself, for this phrase suggests the buyers believed they had invented some sort of clever life hack rather than committed what this Court recognizes as EMOTIONAL GRAND THEFT AUTO. The husband's "casual mention" was not casual; it was the verbal equivalent of a cat depositing a dead bird on one's doorstep. This Court hereby sentences the defendants to eternal residence in a home with bad kitchen flow and weird vibes, and formally recommends the agent pursue that drink with judicial blessing.
SCANDAL RATING: 8.4/10 Zillow Tour Guide Fraud
