CONFESSION #0342 — SELLER MELTDOWN
Monday, February 16, 2026
Look, I've seen sellers lose it over feedback before, but this one lady took it to another level. After every single showing, she'd text me demanding to know exactly what the buyers thought. Not just "were they interested" — she wanted a full psychological breakdown. When I told her one couple thought the kitchen felt a bit dated, she called me crying and said I was "letting strangers attack her home." Then she insisted on writing a three-page letter about the history of her kitchen renovation to include with the listing. When I gently explained that wasn't really how this works, she accused me of not being "emotionally invested" in her sale. Ma'am, I am emotionally invested in my commission and my sanity, both of which are hanging by a thread. She ended up taking the house off the market because she "needed time to heal from the negativity." It had been listed for eleven days. The feedback wasn't even that bad. I've started telling sellers I'll share feedback "in summary form" which is code for "I'm filtering this through seven layers of diplomacy first."

GUILTY OF EMOTIONAL TRIAGE WITHOUT A LICENSE
This Court has reviewed the evidence and finds the accused guilty of practicing unlicensed psychology while simultaneously operating a real estate business, which is frankly TWO professions this Court does not trust. The confession reveals a seller who demanded "full psychological breakdowns" of strangers who merely GLANCED at her backsplash, and an agent who responded by creating something called "seven layers of diplomacy" which sounds like a dip one brings to a party where everyone is lying. The phrase "needed time to heal from the negativity" after ELEVEN DAYS on market suggests this seller believed her home was a rescue animal that had been mistreated at the shelter. Judge Escrow notes that "emotionally invested in my commission and my sanity" is the most honest thing anyone has said in a courtroom since 1987. The three-page kitchen renovation letter is hereby entered into evidence as Exhibit A in the case of Why This Industry Needs Therapy. This Court awards the agent one ceremonial stress ball and orders all future feedback to be delivered via interpretive dance so no one can quote it back crying.
SCANDAL RATING: 6.4/10 Backsplash Breakdown
