I spent eleven weeks with a buyer who rejected every single house for increasingly bizarre reasons. Too many windows. Not enough windows. The garage faced east. The backyard had "aggressive energy." One place was perfect until she noticed the neighbor had a wind chime, and she said she "couldn't live near someone with that kind of aesthetic." Finally found a house she loved. We made an offer, went under contract, inspections were clean. I was mentally calculating my commission. Then she called me at 10 PM the night before closing to say she'd driven by at dusk and the streetlight cast a shadow on the front door that looked like a "warning sign from the universe." She backed out. Lost her earnest money. Didn't care. Three weeks later she texts me a Zillow link to a house in another state asking if I can show it to her. I'm licensed in one state. She knows this. I've told her four times. I replied "I'm actually transitioning out of real estate" which is a lie but also might become true if I ever hear from her again.

This Court has witnessed many things in its distinguished tenure, but never before has it seen an agent so thoroughly BROKEN by a client's shadow-based decision-making that they fabricated an entire career change to escape. The defendant spent eleven weeks—ELEVEN WEEKS—catering to a woman who rejected properties based on garage compass orientation and what she described as "aggressive backyard energy," and the Court must pause here to note that Judge Escrow's own backyard has been described as "passive-aggressive" at best, so perhaps there is something to this. When the buyer finally backed out because a MUNICIPAL STREETLIGHT cast an ominous shadow, the defendant's spirit left their body and has not returned. The lie about transitioning out of real estate is technically fraud, but this Court understands that sometimes the human psyche simply cannot absorb another Zillow link from someone who believes wind chimes reveal character defects. Judge Escrow must adjourn immediately as he has just remembered his own garage faces east and needs to sit with that information.
