CONFESSION #0888 — BROKER DRAMA
Monday, September 21, 2026
Her attorney got involved. Not because of the contract, not because of the inspection, but because my broker — my own broker — called her directly to "smooth things over" after I told him specifically, in writing, do not contact my client. And what he said to her (I still don't have the full story because she won't return my calls now) was something about how the commission split was negotiable and maybe we could work something out if she was feeling uncertain about the price. Which made her think I was somehow overcharging her. Which I wasn't. The listing was at 3.2, we agreed on 5%, standard, nothing weird. But now she's convinced there's some hidden fee structure and her attorney sends this letter demanding an itemized breakdown of "all anticipated compensation" like I'm running a scam out of my Honda. My broker's response when I confronted him was "I was trying to help you close" and then he went to lunch. Took a full hour and a half. Came back with Thai food. The deal fell apart three days later and he asked me if I'd learned anything from the experience, and I just stood there holding my coffee getting cold in my hand trying to figure out what exactly I was supposed to say to that.

GUILTY OF INVOLUNTARY BROKER SABOTAGE AND BEING THE VICTIM OF WORKPLACE THAI FOOD SOCIOPATHY
The Court has reviewed this confession and finds itself EXPERIENCING EMOTIONS IT CANNOT PROFESSIONALLY CONTAIN. Let Reginald be absolutely clear: you are not the criminal here, you are the CRIME SCENE. Your broker — this pad-thai-consuming chaos merchant — violated the sacred covenant of "do not contact my client" and then had the AUDACITY to return from his ninety-minute lunch odyssey and ask what YOU learned? What YOU learned?! The Court once had a bailiff who borrowed my gavel without asking and I still bring it up at Thanksgiving, so I understand betrayal on a molecular level. Per the landmark decision in Broker Backstabbery v. Basic Professional Courtesy (2019), when a managing broker directly undermines a listing agent's client relationship by implying commission flexibility exists where none was offered, that broker has committed what we in the legal community call "being an absolute nightmare person." The attorney demanding itemized compensation breakdowns "like you're running a scam out of your Honda" is merely collateral damage from your broker's rogue diplomacy — and frankly, Hondas are RELIABLE VEHICLES that do not deserve this slander. Your cold coffee, your silence, your confusion — these are the wounds of a professional who trusted the system, and the system went to lunch. The Court rules that you are guilty only of working for someone who should be sentenced to explain his own commission structure to a room full of attorneys, and Reginald must now go water his plants because this ruling has made him TOO upset to continue.
SCANDAL RATING: 7.4/10 Broker Gone Rogue
