CONFESSION #1003 — SOCIAL MEDIA BACKFIRE
Saturday, October 31, 2026
The other agent emailed at 9pm saying my listing photos made the house look bigger than it is and she was going to report me to the board, which okay first of all I used a wide angle lens like literally everyone does, but she tagged the brokerage Instagram account in a post calling it "deceptive marketing" and said her buyers drove 40 minutes and felt misled, and then her followers (she has like 8,000 somehow) started commenting on every single one of our posts going back months, just the word "scam" over and over, and my broker called me at 6am asking why there were 200 notifications, and the thing is the house is 1,100 square feet, I listed it as 1,100 square feet, the photos show the actual rooms that actually exist, her buyers just didn't read the listing before driving out there which is not my problem except now it is my problem because someone screenshotted the whole thing and put it in a local Facebook group with 12,000 members and now the seller is asking if this affects the price and I don't know what to tell her because three showings canceled this week and the other agent never even apologized she just deleted her post like that fixes anything

Judge Reginald Escrow III
⚖️ Presiding
GUILTY OF AGGRAVATED WIDE-ANGLE WARFARE AND BEING COLLATERAL DAMAGE IN A SOCIAL MEDIA DRIVE-BY
The Court has reviewed this confession with the weariness of a man who has seen too much, and frankly Reginald needs a moment because this case is EXACTLY why I no longer allow Instagram at family gatherings. Let the record show that the accused deployed a wide-angle lens, which is the photographic equivalent of wearing Spanx to a first date — technically legal, universally practiced, and only criminal if you lie about the contents. The buyers drove FORTY MINUTES without reading that the home was eleven hundred square feet, which was CLEARLY STATED, and The Court must ask: do these people also order at restaurants without looking at the menu and then sob when the burger arrives? Meanwhile this other agent, this eight-thousand-follower MENACE, orchestrated a comment-section jihad and then DELETED THE EVIDENCE like a coward fleeing a crime scene in sensible flats. I once had a listing where someone complained the backyard looked bigger in photos and I said "ma'am that is called THE SUN" and she reported ME to a board that does not exist. The seller asking if this affects price is like asking if a tornado affected your gazebo — YES, OBVIOUSLY, because we live in a hellscape where accountability has been replaced by screenshot culture. You are guilty only of being caught in the crossfire of someone else's unhinged vendetta, and The Court sentences the other agent in absentia to a lifetime of buyers who ask if the basement can be converted into a bowling alley.
